Posted September 13, 2011 by admin

  • 3/4 cup water room temperature
  • 1/3 cup butter, unsalted room temperature
  • 1 egg room temperature
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 Cups bread flour
  • 1 3/4 tsps yeast

layer ingredients in order provided, into bread machine pan. Select “sweet” bread setting if baking a loaf in your bread machine. If you do not have a sweet setting, use the setting for white bread. Yield: 1.5lb loaf

If doing rolls or buns, use “dough” cycle. Once first rise is complete, turn out onto cutting board, roll or pat into rectangle and use pizza cutter to cut into portions needed. After cut/shaped, transfer to the buttered dish you will be baking in, cover in plastic wrap and allow to rise a second time until doubled or slightly more than doubled, then remove wrap and bake at 350 for 20-22 minutes until golden brown on top. Yield: 16-20 rolls in a 9×13 dish, 8 hamburger buns or 10 hot dog buns.
